Houston County IS WORKING TO BE THE first county in Minnesota or Wisconsin to BAN the mining and processing of FRAC SAND (silica) mining ! Tell your neighbors that Houston County needs it's families to contact the County Commissioners and urge them to vote for this ban. They voted March 3 and failed to pass a ban.  ThEn They back-tracked and moved to REGULATE versus BAN, but that didn't pass either so Currently the old, existing ordinance is now in effect. Existing mines for road and agriculture sand should continue, but silica frac sand mining would be detrimental to the county.

Bottom Line, DEMAND A FRAC SAND BAN
