An alliance of groups and organizations to ban frac sand mining held a press conference on May 9, 2016 in La Crosse, Wisconsin in response to the national frac sand mining conference held in La Crosse, Wisconsin. A rally is scheduled for 5 p.m. on May 10 at the La Crosse Center.

La Crescent Planning Commission Videos - Part 1 of 7 Videos

The commission decided to limit public viewing of their discussions regarding their update of the La Crescent Township zoning ordinance, which includes language about mining.   When the commission was asked by a resident if they would consider a ban of frac sand mining, they quickly stated "absolutely not."
